Hello there! I want everyone to know upfront that blogging is new to me. Of course, I understand the concept but have never personally written one. Emily told me about this blog and asked if I would be interested in contributing and I think I immediately said NO! I thought to myself and maybe even said aloud, Are you crazy? Do I have time to do that? I think not! But then, I got to thinking about it and I read Jennifer’s post and decided and hoped that this would be some sort of release for me. You can’t see this right now, but as I am writing this I am bouncing one knee and typing with one hand because my adorable four-month old son is kind of like a tree monkey and holds on to me for dear life almost twenty-four hours a day. One might say to themselves it would be nice to be needed like that and most of the time I agree, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a few minutes each day to myself? I said all of that to say this: I am going to try my hardest to make this work and hopefully write some thought-provoking things that might make you laugh, or maybe cry or just be thankful to be alive. We shall see.
I am a wife, mom, executive recruiter and most important a servant of Jesus Christ! I try to do everything I do to the best of my ability, but I know that there is a lot of room for improvement. I have two kids, Noah (4) and Jonah (the 4 month old tree monkey) and they are ADORABLE! I did not say they were not a lot of work because HOLY COW, they are a TON of work. I never knew how hard being a mom would be, but that’s a subject for another blog. I bring both of my kids to work with me and it has been both a blessing and a curse to have them there, but I would not have it any other way. I have the very unique opportunity to work full-time (I love what I do) and be a mom who gets to be with her kids during the day. I know the Lord gave me that opportunity and I am SO thankful! I love my husband, Marc, and we are best friends (most days).
That is enough blabbering from me! I hope this is the first of many entries to come!
